Terms of Service
Please read these terms carefully before using the DevRoute device intelligence API. Last updated: April 5, 2026.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using DevRoute ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you (the "User" or "you") and DevRoute ("we", "our", or "us").
2. Description of Service
DevRoute provides a device intelligence API that detects device models, eSIM compatibility, fraud signals, and other device-related information through a browser-based SDK. The Service includes a web dashboard for analytics and account management.
3. Account Registration
- You must provide accurate and complete information when registering for an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API keys and account credentials.
- You must be at least 18 years old to use this Service.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
4. API Usage
4.1 Plan Limits
Your API usage is limited by your subscription plan's monthly detection allowance. Exceeding your plan limit may result in additional charges or service interruption according to your plan terms.
4.2 API Key Security
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your API key. Do not embed it in client-side code that could expose it publicly. If you suspect your API key has been compromised, notify us immediately.
4.3 Prohibited Uses
You may not use the Service to:
- Track or identify individuals without their consent
- Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the API or its results
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or in violation of applicable regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers/networks connected to the Service
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Service
5. Data Processing
5.1 Device Signals
When the DevRoute SDK loads on your website, it collects device signals (user agent, screen resolution, GPU, etc.) necessary for device identification. We process this data on behalf of our customers as part of the Service.
5.2 End User Privacy
As a customer of DevRoute, you are responsible for obtaining appropriate consent from your end users for the collection of device signals in accordance with applicable privacy laws (including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant regulations). Our Privacy Policy describes how we handle this data.
6. Billing and Payment
- Subscription fees are charged monthly according to your selected plan.
- Overage charges may apply if you exceed your plan's monthly detection limit, calculated at the per-detection rate for your plan.
- Payment processing is handled by our authorized payment provider.
- Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us at help@devroute.app.
7. Service Level and Availability
- We strive for high availability but do not guarantee 100% uptime except for Enterprise plans with a custom SLA.
- We may perform scheduled maintenance with reasonable advance notice.
- We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Service with 30 days' notice.
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its API, SDK, dashboard, and all related technology, is owned by DevRoute and protected under applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR COMPLETELY SECURE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, DEVROUTE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO DEVROUTE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless DevRoute and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses arising out of or relating to your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or violation of any third-party rights.
12. Termination
We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.
13. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated Terms on this page with a new "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Colombia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved in the courts of Colombia.
